Van Driver

Job Description

Primarily to work as a multi-drop delivery driver delivering goods to customers. Orders are palletised and unloaded using forklift trucks. The role is primarily Van Driver but on occasional days to be a Driver’s Mate.

Applicants must have no more than 3 penalty points in their licence. Must have a current UK driving licence that permits him to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, and has a min 2 years driving in UK experience

Minimum 2 years UK Driving Experience and no more than 3 current penalty points

Who are we looking for?

  • A proactive, considerate and hardworking team player who is used to working on strict working schedules and deadlines

  • Someone who can participate in manual handling duties, lifting up to 15kg

  • Ability to use a pump pallet truck

Additional Responsibilities

  • Driving in a safe, courteous and legal manner, complying with all current EU Road Transport regulation and WTD at all times

  • Ensuring that vehicles are kept in appropriate condition that defects are reported and the cab interior are kept tidy

  • Communicate effectively with the co-worker in the sales office, Customer accounts, cashier office and the transport team

  • Ensuring returned goods are acceptable and done according to Returns procedure
