This banana and nut butter smoothie is rich in protein and full of nutritional goodness to fuel your body and satisfy your taste buds; perfect for an early morning snack or a post-workout meal.



Serves 1. Prep 5 minutes. Make 10 minutes.
For this recipe, you will need:
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 tbsp. nut butter
- 1 glass vegetable milk drink
- 2 tbsp yoghurt (natural yoghurt)
- 2 tbsp oatmeal
- a pinch of cinnamon
- a splash of water
Banana and Nut Butter Instructions:
Step One:
Prepare fruit, and cut your banana into pieces; this makes it easier to blend.
Step Two:
Once you have cut up your banana, place all the ingredients into a food blender/processor and blend until smooth.
Step Three:
After all the ingredients are blended, you can now serve. Pour your mixture into a 250ml glass. Serve with a spoon or straw, depending on the consistency.
Step Four:
Finally, add the finishing touches and sprinkle the top with oats, nut butter and banana. And enjoy!
Top tips
Don’t like peanut butter? Try almond butter; any nut butter will work for this recipe.
Adjust the amount of water/milk in your smoothie for a thicker or thinner consistency. Why not make it thicker and pair it with granola for a delicious breakfast?
Add some chocolate; try using chocolate milk or adding chocolate sauce to create a tasty dessert.
Choose natural Greek yoghurt for a creamy and thicker consistency. Try using a flavoured yoghurt like vanilla or banana to add more flavour.
