Summer Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

This summer, indulge in the delightful taste of a summer strawberry and banana smoothie, the ultimate refreshing beverage. Bursting with natural sugars and essential vitamins, this healthy and delicious treat is perfect for serving at picnics or enjoying on a sunny day in the British summertime.

Serves 1. Prep 5 minutes. Make 10 minutes.

For this recipe, you will need:

  • 1 Handful of Fresh or Frozen strawberries (about 5)
  • 1 Fresh or Frozen Banana
  • 1/2 tbsp vegetable milk drink
  • 2 tbsp yoghurt (natural yoghurt)
  • 1 tbsp oatmeal
  • a splash of water

Summer Strawberry & Banana Smoothie Instructions:

Step One:

Prepare fruit, and cut your strawberries and banana into small pieces, making blending easier.

Step Two:

Once you have cut up your fruit, place all the ingredients into a food blender/processor and blend until smooth.

Step Three:

After all the ingredients are blended, you can now serve. Pour your mixture into a 250ml glass. Serve with a spoon or straw, depending on the consistency.

Step Four:

Finally, add the finishing touches and sprinkle the top with oats and pieces of strawberries/banana. Then enjoy!

Top tips

Why not try freezing the smoothie mixture to make a fruit ice lolly?

Adjust the water/milk in your smoothie for a thicker or thinner consistency. Why not make it thicker and pair it with granola for a delicious breakfast?

Hosting a party? You could make this smoothie into an alcoholic beverage, try adding your favourite spirit to create a fruity cocktail.
