This mango Chia pudding can be a nutritious snack and a delicious and healthy dessert. Although many make it with plant-based milk, we prefer this pudding with yoghurt.
What are the benefits of chia seeds?
Chia seeds are especially useful for our bodies. They are:
- Rich in dietary fibre, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, vitamins and minerals.
- A rich source of antioxidants.
- It helps reduce appetite, improve digestion, benefit cardiovascular activity, and help regulate blood sugar levels.
- It helps you to feel fuller for longer.

Serves 2 Prep 15 minutes Refrigerate 1-8 hrs
For this recipe, you will need:
- 250g Plain Natural Yoghurt
- 4 tbsp Chia Seeds
- 4 tbsp Room Temp Water
- 4 tbsp Granola
- 200g Frozen Mango
Chia Pudding Instructions:
To make the chia mix
In a small bowl, mix the chia seeds with room temperature water, stirring for about 1 minute until the seeds pop.
Once combined with the water, slowly mix in the yoghurt to the chia seed mixture.
Leave to set and refrigerate for at least 1 hr or overnight.
Preparing to serve
Now that the chia pudding mixture has been set and refrigerated, you can start serving.
Scoop the chia pudding mixture into two large serving glasses or bowls.
Next, sprinkle a handful of granola over the pudding mixture until the desired amount; then, gently heat the frozen mango until they soften, and place it on top of the granola, creating a beautifully layered mango chia pudding.
