Easy Curd Pancake Recipe

Serves: Approx 4


  • 500g Curd Cheese
  • 80g Plain Flour + Extra for coating
  • 50g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)


  • Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the curd cheese, plain flour, sugar, eggs and vanilla extra until all combined – This should be 2 mins max and the mixture will be sticky.
  • Heat the Pan: Place a non-stick pan on medium-high heat with 2 tbsp of neutral oil.
  • Prepare the Pancakes: While the pan is heating, generously dust a clean surface with the extra flour. Then you can scoop equal portions of the pancake batter onto the surface and roll it into a small patty shape.
  • Ready, Steady, Cook: Now you can place the pancakes in the hot pan, cook for 3-4 mins on one side or until golden and mostly cooked through – then you can flip and cook the other side.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm and dust with icing sugar! A traditional pairing is blackcurrant jam to complement the curd flavour.

Chefs Tips

  • Make sure not to cook too many pancakes at once – this can crowd the pan and make the pancakes cook unevenly.
  • Serve with your favourite sweet and fruity jam – it’s the perfect pairing for these pancakes as the curd has a more savoury taste.
